SURF COURSES

We teach surf courses throughout the year, for all levels and ages*, in Spanish, English and French.

You can opt for classes in small groups (4-6 people per instructor) or private, where you will have a monitor just for you.

If you are a beginner you will learn to paddle, read the waves and stand up on the board quickly, safely and fun. And if you have a higher level you will be able to perfect your surfing and correct bad habits.

How long is the class?
The duration of group classes is two hours, and private classes It is 1 hour and 30 min. approx.

What does it include?
The price includes the necessary material for practice (surf board and neoprene and/or lycra) and civil liability insurance.

What should I bring?
● Towel and sunscreen.
● Swimsuit.
● Water to hydrate.

What does the class consist of?
Surf classes have a theoretical part and a practical part.
● In the theoretical part we will spend approximately 30 minutes. out of the water. During this time you will meet the monitor, you will be given the material, you will learn the parts that make up the board, the difference between “green” waves and “white” waves  (foams), the difference between first and second breakers, everything about currents, safety regulations, surf rules, technique of standing up and paddling.

● In the practical part, you will surf in the sea for 1 hour and 30 minutes approx. with the supervision, help and corrections of the monitor. To complement theoretical teaching, at school we have also blackboards and other tools to work on balance out of the water, such as: indo-board, elastic bands, bosu, dynair, etc. We also have a shower and an area where you can sit and rest or drink something.

What is the difference between private class and group class?
Group classes are small (4-6 people per instructor). The class will adapt to the level of most students. The attention and help of monitor is distributed among all students during class.
Private classes are classes in which you will only have one instructor for you, who will supervise you at all times, will
help you by pushing you in each wave, and will correct each surf in a personalized way and in exclusive. They are perfect for a first contact with surfing, correcting vices when you already have some level, or for improvement if you already know surf.

What type of board will I use?
● For beginner students we have a wide variety of professional soft boards. They are a type of tables designed to avoid injuries since they are made of soft material on the outside, but without lose rigidity, since they are laminated in epoxy.

● For students with an intermediate level we have a variety of tables fish, evolutionary and epoxy boards from the NSP and Torq brands.
● For advanced level we have a variety of brand shortboards Firewire and Slater Designs.

Requirements:

* Age: For safety reasons, the minimum age is 6 years. Although There may always be exceptions depending on weight, height and parental consent.
In the case of children between the ages of 6 and 9, it would be a monitor and a board are necessary for every 3 children. To guarantee your security, they will rotate surfing two waves each. In this case, you need to book the class in advance. The duration of the activity will be 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Schedule: Since we depend on the tides, class schedules They vary depending on the day. For safety reasons, classes are held at low tide and Therefore, they could be in the morning or afternoon depending on the date chosen.

Surfing
